<p>Hypnosis is something we all experience, though we don’t call it by that name. Think to a time you were deeply involved in a TV program and didn’t hear the phone ringing or people around you. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people wonder if hypnosis can work for pain control. Let’s discuss the nature of pain first. Being able to feel and sense pain is essential to our everyday survival. Pain alerts our brain to bodily insults and injuries, which may be internal (such as appendicitis or a sprain) or external (such as getting too close to fire). Our pain responses evolved to keep us out of harm’s way, to stop the actions that lead to bodily injury, and to preserve good health and our lives.</p>
<p>Since these physical injuries could be life-threatening, our pain signals send different levels of intensity so we can quickly recognize, assess a situation, and take immediate action as needed.</p>
<p><strong>There are two types of pain:</strong></p>
<p>Acute or new pain warns you that your body received an injury so you can stop doing whatever activity that caused the pain.</p>
<p>Chronic pain continues long after the pain signal has given the warning. Chronic pain lingers long after the physical problem has been treated medically, and the warning is no longer needed.  Arthritis or serious back Injuries are examples of chronic pain conditions.</p>
<p><strong>The perception of pain has two parts: </strong></p>
<p>First, there is the sensation of something uncomfortable happening to a specific part of your body. Second, there are your physical and emotional reactions to the signals of discomfort.</p>
<p>When we experience chronic pain cycle, we also begin to react emotionally to the stress. This leads to feelings of anxiety, frustration, a sense of hopelessness, and fear that the pain will never stop. Over time, chronic pain leads to feelings of helplessness and depression.</p>
<p>The pain cycle is like a mini-tornado spinning up out of control. The sensation of pain causes you to begin feeling stressed, and the increased stress causes you body to tighten up. In turn, this causes you to feel more stress, fear and anxiety, which produces even more stress and tension. Pain becomes a vicious cycle, often affecting our ability to sleep, which further affects our energy and our ability to cope and recover.</p>
<p>Hypnosis allows you to enter a state of profound mental and physical relaxation. The pain cycle is interrupted, and your body and mind returns to a more relaxed state. You can regain control of your life.</p>
<p>My approach to using hypnosis for natural pain control and pain relief is initially to guide you into a pleasant and comfortable state of comfort. With hypnosis and its deep relaxation, you’ll learn exercises in self-hypnosis and self-relaxation that will meet your individual needs. This approach doesn’t work because our conscious mind is only 10% of our brain-power, and our subconscious mind is 90% of our brain-power. With those statistics, you can see the subconscious always wins.</p>

<p><strong>The Keys To Your Success To Be Smoke Free</strong></p>
<p><strong>Strong Desire to Quit Smoking. </strong></p>
<p>First and foremost, you must first want to quit for yourself. This doesn’t mean you might want to quit because your spouse or family want you to stop. Those may be reasons you ‘think’ you want to quit, and your family and friends may have your best interests at heart. However, if you want to quit smoking permanently, you must be at that point you are sick and tired of being sick and tired from everything related to smoking.</p>
<p>How can you determine if your motivation is strong enough? On a scale from 1 to 10, ask yourself, “How much do I want to quit smoking”? If your desire and motivation is not at least an “8”, you are not ready to stop.</p>
<p>Your hypnotist cannot make you quit smoking. Ultimately, your success depends on your level of motivation and taking responsibility to quit.</p>
<p><strong>High Commitment. </strong></p>
<p>Along with a strong desire to quit, you must be ready to do whatever is necessary to quit smoking. This includes going through any reading or audio materials that your hypnotist may assign for you to complete between appointments.</p>
<p><strong>Positive Attitude.</strong></p>
<p>Having a positive attitude changes your beliefs. Believe in yourself and your ability to quit smoking. Expect to succeed, and you will. Hypnosis is a great tool to help make the transition easier. <p>How can you determine if your motivation is strong enough? On a scale from 1 to 10, ask yourself, “How much do I want to quit smoking”? If your desire and motivation is not at least an “8”, you are not ready to stop.</p>

<p>So anything that our body cannot use is either stored or eliminated. Anything that comes into our body from cigarette smoking is not needed by our body. I never heard of a normal human being having a deficiency of any of the more than 4000 chemical compounds that a burning cigarette supplies to us. So what isn&#8217;t stored is released. Nicotine is one of the chemicals that leaves our body quickly. So quickly that it is felt almost immediately upon the cessation of your last cigarette. That&#8217;s the normal discomfort that a smoker feels that they associate with needing another cigarette. Some think it&#8217;s a craving, but it&#8217;s not. It&#8217;s just a mild sensation that goes away when you smoke. In most smokers it is so mild that if they are distracted by anything they will completely forget they were looking for a smoke.</p>
